Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the relationship between parental involvement to improve student chemistry learning achievement. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental involvement and chemistry learning achievement. This research belongs to the type of quantitative research, with the product moment correlational analysis. The population of this study was all students of class X with a total sample of 52 students. The results showed that the significance value was 0.012, because the significance was smaller than 0.05 (0.012 <0.05), then Ho was rejected Ha was accepted. So there is a positive and significant relationship between parental involvement and student chemistry learning achievement at SMAN 14 Bungo.
